Lora Arbrador

 

Lora Arbrador is a San Francisco artist who paints exclusively in Egg Tempera. Twenty-five years of work as a Registered Nurse provides Arbrador with wellsprings of ideas that show up in paintings with medical themes. Other subject matter includes nature, love, and yoga. Arbrador has exhibited in galleries and museums throughout the U.S.A. In 1995 she created the lecture, Botticelli's Forgotten Medium; Egg Tempera Past and Present, first presented at the Johnson Museum at Cornell University. Arbrador is the co-founder of the Society of Tempera Painters. Work underway includes large scale paintings for the series, Ways of Dying.
