Margaret Casagrande
Margaret Casagrande's paintings are done in egg tempera with oil glazes. Traditionally an oil painter, she began egg tempera about a year ago and enjoys the similarity to drawing the medium offers as well as the drying time. Glazing with oil seems to give the work the best of both worlds. She studied drawing with Carlos Madrid and anatomy and painting at the New York Academy of Art. Her work is in collections in New York and she has shown in New York and New Jersey.
