Artists Statement
"Through visual allegories, metaphors, and icons, MF Dondelinger observes the anxieties and motivations of humanity in the West."
MF Dondelinger worked as a studio artist in Seattle, Washington for ten years before serving as director of Gallery One, a visual arts center. Having returned to painting full-time, she switched to working in egg tempera after apprenticing with a master iconographer in Italy for five weeks. She has relocated to New Mexico where the sun shines every day. Her works are in numerous public, corporate and private collections including Hewlett Packard Permanent Collection, Idaho Power Co., SAFECO Insurance Co., Swedish Hospital Permanent Collection, and University of Washington Hospital Permanent Collection, among others.
MF Dondelinger is the recipient of a NEA Fast Track Grant and an NEA Professional Development Grant.
