Default video demo on how to mix egg tempera medium

I have posted a 13 minute video demo on several of my painting blogs about how I mix my egg tempera medium. Here is a link if you'd like to see it:

Hi Mona,
Great to see and hear you again live.........seems like ages since the last time we were over. Amazed that you did all that in just 2 takes!!! Loved the bit where you were competing with your voice and the stirring of the medium!! We will now be looking to you for the next stage.....tempering the pigment and then a full blown demo!!

Thanks Rob, but no one can compete with your animated demo! Once they get over my routine version, do you think I could get your permission to post a link to your work and to "Making Egg Tempera Paint" on my Miniature blog?

Hi Mona,
I finally got a chance to view your video (I have a dial-up modem at home). Great job! I like your idea of using an ice-water bath to keep the egg mixture cold. Why didn't I think of that? Will you be doing a "painting" video next...?
Cheers,
Phil

Great video, Mona. I didn't think to try and use the medium cold. I just mix it up and have it sitting in the studio all day long while I work.

Silver Lining, glad to know that you got something out of this video! Using ice preserves the medium longer, and best of all, it's smell-free. Quite an informal intro to egg tempera at best, but the goal was to take the fear and myths out of trying egg tempera for the first time. It's not such a terrifying medium as many people think!

Hi Mona,
If you haven't already done so, it would be great to see you do one on tempering paint.
How long do you use a batch of medium before you feel like you have to throw it out?
Thanks for the post,
Silver
