Default Princeton Art Museum's "Recapturing the Image"

While following the discussion on panels and boards, I thought I would see if I could contact a conservator at the Princeton art museum. I have yet to do that, but while looking I did find this link to an interesting site they made:

Quote:
"Recapturing the Image" is a Web site that describes how Andrea di Bartolo, a fourteenth-century Sienese artist, created his Madonna and Child (ca. 1410-15), which had been the central panel of a dispersed altarpiece.

Oh boy, all the fiddly little bits of exactly how a medieval painting was made!

Thanks for the link, Jeff, it's a real treat.
