Is it possible for those posting to consider uploading detail shots.... brushwork, tonal gradients feathers, eyeballs, what have you ? I think it would be a great learning tool for those in need.

I second that, Eric.
So much better to have a good close-up or two to see what the handling is like -- since we can't hold the e-tempera in hand. (iTempera? Virtual tempera?)
Here's a couple of detail examples in sizes that are useful, I think. These are roughly twice life size at 96dpi. I like to be able to see someone's brushstrokes, in real life or online.
So, if you have some sharp close-up shots of your work for critique, please do send 'em with the overall image. We'd love to see them and it will help us in commenting in a meaningful way!
