This was my first (and so far only) ET painting. It's quite small (4"x4")

Very nice, Riccardo. Much better than my first attempts!

A suggestion: egg tempera works best (in my opinion) when you work in layers. Try squeezing your brush out flat - not to a point, to a blade - and paint layers of different colors very thinly over each other. It takes a little practice getting the paint to the right consistency. Or, you can do the first layer with a dark shade of one color, then do subsequent layers with lighter tones. Creates a lovely opalescent effect. This is just another way of applying the paint, rather than the traditional brush stroking you did on the apple (which, incidentally, you did beautifully). Of course, there is also sponging, splattering... etc. Experiment, have fun!

Post some more as you finish them.

or is the second well bitten apple graphite pencil and ET white :?:
