Is anyone out there using ET over burnished gold for scrafitto?
I get mixed results because the paint takes so long to dry/cure.
The scratching is great, perfect really, but then the piece can't be handled becaues the paint is so fragile. Any suggestions?

I have been working with scraffito over gold and you do need to be incredible careful, as advised by Thompson, I give the area of scraffito a thin coat of warm rabbit skin glue about 1 part glue to 30 water. Make the size rather warmer than usual after that I also give the area a thin coat of shellac.

any which way it does have a great feeling to it!
scraffito over gold if mastered should always be used as it gives the artist a leading edge when the gallery can spend time talking about the technic to the potental buyer over rival ET artist in the same leage
