Hi everyone, I feel like I already know so many of you because I've been studying this site for days, learning all I can. I'm new to ET and loving it of course. I just bought my first calcium carbonate and plan to make my first real gesso this weekend, very excited. I've been experimenting with pure pigments dispersed in water by createx and the egg yolk. They actually work quite well and I've learned enought to know I want to invest in the powder pigments. My main question right now is how to do a "wash" in ET? I can only get a rather choppy look, not those beautiful smooth passages I see in the work here. Thanks everyone for all the excellent advice. ChrisM
