Patricia K Kelly

Patricia K Kelly is British by birth and first studied painting at Dartington College of Arts in Totnes, Devon. Before moving to the San Francisco Bay Area in 1993 she continued her studies in painting and drawing at The Academy of Fine Arts in Florence and Rome. In 1999 Patricia graduated from the San Francisco Art Institute with an MFA in painting.

Whilst as a student in Italy Patricia was fortunate to have direct and intimate contact with key works of art by Duccio, Cimabue, Simone Martini and many others. These paintings left a deep and lasting impression.

As an abstract painter her work explores the landscape through matter, patterns and symbols. She is currently exploring the human figure and landscape relationship.

Patricia's work is exhibited nationally and internationally.
